Cycling Federation of Bugey 

Discover the trails established by the Cycling Federation of Bugey. There are 370 km marked and well maintained trails or 27 interconnected circuits. There are eight starting points on the plateaux of Hauteville and Retord.

The Plateau d'Hauteville offers 200 km of routes in and around the districts of Hauteville-Lompnes, Prémillieu, Aranc, Corcelles and Corlier.

Mountain Biking Endurance and Downhill

The District Council of the Hauteville Plateau offers

  • 5 marked Mountain Bike Endurance Trails that start from Planachat, They are of varying difficulty (3.7 km - 3.6 km - 6.6 km - 7.4 km or 8.2 km)
  • 3 marked Downhill Mountain Bike Trails descend from Planachat, They are of varying difficulty (1.9 km or 1.7 km)


These Endurance and Downhill trails were developed in order to introduce you to this wonderful sport, and also to introduce you to the Planachat mountain and its surroundings at Cormaranche en Bugey.

A free map is available at the Hauteville Tourist Office at the Servi Nature shop in Hauteville-Lompnes, and in the Mayors’ Offices of Hauteville-Lompnes and Cormaranche-en-Bugey Also available at the “Les 12 cols" camp site.

The District Council of the of Plateau d'Hauteville, in partnership with UCHAV, Servi'Nature, and H3S offers a day of discovery at the Bike Park at Cormaranche en Bugey.

There’s a free shuttle service from 12pm to 5pm to the circuit at Cormaranche en Bugey.

Try out Scott and Lapierre mountain bikes. Reservation only, phone

NEW this summer

Shuttle service to the top of the ski slopes operating between 2pm to 5pm, every hour, starting from the ski lift chalet at Cormaranche-en-Bugey

The Great Jura Crossing

Conquer the 370 km of the GTJ or ‘Great Jura Crossing’ by mountain bike. From Mandeure in the Doubs to the north, passing the Ain Mountain at Hauteville, to the Nordic site of Praille in the south. With all the available variations of the route, the tour can last from 3 to 10 days. It is possible to do the crossing in both directions.
