The Upper Bugey Aero Club has managed Corlier Altiport since it opened in1998. It is the seventh and most recent altiport in France and the only one in the Jura Mountains.

This remarkable site provides an opportunity to practice Mountain Aviation and it is well used, by pilots from Rhône-Alpes, Bourgogne, Franche-Comté, and other parts of France. It also records frequent visits by pilots from Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Spain and Austria.

These countries are partners in the Mountain Pilots Association (AFPM). The flying club, in addition to hosting these pilots, organizes events for First Flights and aerobatic demonstration.

The airport hangar can accommodate passenger aircraft and, together with the excellent local infrastructure of hotels, restaurants, local producers and tourist facilities on the Plateau, this greatly facilitates visits by pilots and their passengers.

The aero club offers First Flight baptisms from Corlier Ailtiport, for individuals and groups (reservation required).
